POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales/Customer Support Representative sells and services Rock of Ages wholesale memorial products to authorized memorial retail dealers over the telephone or electronically by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – other duties may be assigned:
- Responsible for servicing assigned accounts and backing up other customer service representatives.
- Servicing of accounts to include:
- Providing order status and information.
- Collecting all data required to process an order, including design information.
- Primary point of contact for any information to be collected or disseminated.
- Oversight of receivables for assigned accounts.
- Regular and consistent contact with accounts.
- Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
- Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for input into the company order system.
- Builds and maintains customer relationships.
- Ensures timely and accurate entry of new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Tracks/expedites orders through the manufacturing and delivery process.
- Works with other sales representatives to keep account information up to date.
- Occasionally visits existing and prospective customers.
- Solicits post-sale feedback from customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
This position requires a high school diploma and a minimum of two years industry experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, proficiency in the use of personal computers and MS Office is required. Familiarity with the IBM AS400 platform is highly desirable.
