This division began with manufacturing standard granite surface plates, and remained the focus until the decision was made in 1992 to focus on products for OEM manufacturers. Despite this change in focus we still manufacture a considerable number of medium size to very large surface plates for special applications, up to the 42 foot length mentioned previously. For these types of applications we offer our local Barre Gray Granite and the Salisbury Pink Granite, an especially hard and wear-resistant material.
